PORVORIM, GOA — Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant held a press conference in Porvorim on April 22, where he spoke on key governance issues, development priorities, and ongoing initiatives in the state.
During the interaction with the media, Sawant highlighted the state government’s focus on development, transparency, and efficient administration, stating that multiple initiatives are being undertaken to improve the quality of life for citizens. The Chief Minister said that infrastructure development remains a top priority, with ongoing projects in roads, tourism, and urban facilities aimed at strengthening Goa’s economy. He also pointed out that tourism, being a major contributor to the state’s revenue, is being promoted through better facilities and improved connectivity.
Sawant also spoke about the government’s efforts in strengthening public services, including healthcare, education, and digital governance. He said that steps are being taken to modernise administrative processes and make services more accessible and efficient for the public.
Referring to law and order, the Chief Minister said that the state government is taking necessary steps to maintain peace and ensure safety, especially in areas that attract a large number of tourists. He added that coordination between departments has been improved to respond quickly to any issues.
