Goa CM Pramod Sawant Calls on Students to Drive Innovation and Build a Developed India

Sankhali, Goa: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has encouraged students to look beyond textbooks, embrace innovation, and develop a spirit of curiosity while addressing the “Mann Ki Baat to Viksit Bharat – Empowering Swayampurna Goa Through Knowledge and Innovation” programme.

The event was jointly organized by the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sankhali, and Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, bringing together students, educators, and officials to discuss the role of youth in nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sawant said interacting with students is always inspiring and urged them to learn from the stories shared through Mann Ki Baat, where ordinary citizens have achieved extraordinary success through dedication, innovation, and community service.

He encouraged students to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while remaining committed to serving society. The Chief Minister emphasized that India’s development depends on the combined efforts of people from every section of society.

He noted that students, scientists, entrepreneurs, farmers, artists, innovators, and countless dedicated citizens all contribute to building a stronger and more developed nation.

According to Sawant, every young individual has the potential to make a meaningful impact through knowledge, determination, and innovation.

Highlighting various government initiatives, Sawant encouraged students to make full use of opportunities offered through:

  • Startup Goa
  • Swayampurna Goa
  • Skill Development Programmes
  • India’s growing innovation ecosystem

He said these initiatives provide young people with the resources needed to become entrepreneurs, innovators, and future leaders. The Chief Minister urged students to dream big while remaining committed to continuous learning and public service.

He said that with the right combination of education, innovation, and determination, Goa’s youth can play a vital role in creating a self-reliant state and contributing to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation.

Sawant’s address aligns with Goa’s broader development initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, education, innovation, and community welfare.

Earlier this month, the Chief Minister also announced enhanced efforts to extend welfare schemes to traditional fishermen and strengthen Goa’s fisheries sector, reflecting the government’s focus on inclusive growth across multiple sectors.
